Reverse 911 System

Some southeast Kentuckians can make sure they are a part of the new reverse 9-1-1 system for the Lake Cumberland area.

The system has been installed in Clinton, Cumberland, Russell and Monroe Counties, which enables homeland security to send a pre-recorded message to home phone numbers in the area below the Wolf Creek Dam, instructing the recipients on what to do in case of an emergency involving the dam.
