An Illinois school superintendent is expected to become Kentucky's next education commissioner.
Barbara Erwin is a superintendent in St. Charles, Illinois.
The Kentucky Board of Education has not taken a formal vote yet.
However, a spokeswoman says the board met in closed session last night and reached a
consensus that the job would be offered to Erwin.
