School Remains Closed After Fire

The clock is ticking and school officials are scrambling to clean up a school, damaged by fire.

Police say three students set fire to Rockcastle County Middle School last Friday, damaging several classrooms.

The school's principal says crews spent all weekend cleaning up the damage, but there's still a lot of work left.

An entire section of the school will be shut down for the rest of the year.

So far, school at Rockcastle Middle is canceled on Tuesday and Wednesday, but there's no final word on when the school will open its doors.

I agree to hold the parents responsible. May if Mom and Dad had to open their wallets and pay for their children's destructive behavior that would motivate them to oversee their children. It is a matter of accountability--let the parents be accountable for their children. That would bring about better parents with better parenting skills who are concerned about where and what their children are doing.

I agree.Punish the children, but also, hit Mom and Dad's wallet So my tax dollars don't have to pay. My two boys are graduated from school so why should I have to pay for the "lack of upbringing" of these families.

I say these kids need to be punished to the extent because of all the damage they caused and for our children having to miss school and retest. its not fair to the other children at school.
