The signs are up, candidates are crossing the state, and the primary election is less than a month away.
With so many issues being addressed by candidates, we wanted to know, what you hope to hear.
We picked four main topics that you expect to hear from everyone running toward the governor's mansion.
Healthcare, Jobs, Education or Crime & Drugs were the choices
Armed with a crafty sign and good old masking tape, WYMT’s Danielle Morgan hit the road searching for the number one concern.
The first stop was the Hazard/Perry County Senior Citizens Center.
With a toss up between education and other issues not listed, Danielle decided to find some younger voters at Perry County Central High School.
Surprisingly no one picked jobs as the number one issue in southeast Kentucky, however, all of the people who gave us their vote, said the ideal candidate would make all of these issues a priority.
While no one picked jobs as the number one issue on the street, we asked the same question on here on our website.
The results are as follows:
Crime & Drugs 29%
Jobs 28%
Healthcare 23%
Education 19%
