Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit By Car

The Fayette County coroner needs your help identifying the man hit and killed by a car Monday night.

The victim was hit at the corner of West Loudon and North Broadway and died just before midnight.

Officials used his fingerprints, and came up with five different names, but the coroner says he believes the man is 49-year-old Juan Martinez-Milagro.

His mug shot from the Fayette County Jail matches the victim.

The coroner now needs someone who knew him to come forward.

The coroner says the victim has no scars or tattoos to help with identification. The victim is thought to be from Guatemala.

No charges have been filed in the case.

The driver involved is devistated by this. It was an accident, no charges have been filed because no crime was committed. The victim stepped into the path of an oncoming car..pray for the families involved and quit trying to point fingers.

Has anyone thought this could have just been an accident???? Maybe the pedestrian didn't see the car coming, and had a moment of lapsed judgement. And maybe the driver took her eyes off the road for 5 seconds (as if we all haven't done that at one time or another). This was just a freak accident. Stop trying to lay blame. And I agree with anonymous in lexington....IT COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO ANYONE DRIVING OR WALKING IN ANY CITY OR TOWN IN THE WORLD. Don't be so quick to judge, your words may someday come back to haunt you.

"The Driver better be charged?" Or what? This sounds like a lunatic making threats. Probably all you know about what happened is a few sentences in the news, and you decide you have the right to judge someone who was just in a terrible accident. Here's what I think: you wouldn't have seen him or been able to stop if he'd stepped in front of your car, either, Martha. We should be more saddened that someone died in a tragic accident and less determined to find blame where it doesn't exist.

Perhaps the man who walked into traffic should have been more aware of his surroundings. Usually I try to check out the very large vehicles around me before I step into traffic. And usually I think before opening my mouth but hey, that's just me.

THE DRIVER BETTER BE CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER BECSE SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THINGS AROUND HER

It was dark and the man was in dark clothing and in the street. It wasnt the driver's fault. Crazy to hope that she is charged with manslaughter. Very insensitive opinion.

That is ridiculous. It's more likely that the man was intoxicated and therefore walked out in front of the car. I'm sorry for the driver, who will live with that impact the rest of her life.

The below is ridiculous. The man walked into traffic. It is a tragedy for all involved. I hope you don't have to find out the hard way that it could have happened to anyone.

I hope the driver is charged and doesn't get away with manslaughter.
