Several families lost everything when flames swept through an apartment building on Lexington's southside Sunday.
Crews were called to the Scottish Links Apartment complex on Bold Bidder Drive around noon. When they arrived, smoke was pouring from the building. Officials say the flames started on a balcony in the back. No one was hurt. Two units were completely destroyed, four suffered severe damage, and two others had minor damage.
The owner of the complex has moved the fire victims to other apartments in the building. The Red Cross is also helping those families.
