A big honor Monday for a Kentucky marine, killed in Iraq.
Lexington's Sayre School named its new baseball field in honor of Lance Corporal Chase Comely. He graduated from Sayre.
The dedication of the baseball field kicked off at about 5:00, Monday afternoon.
Chase Comely always liked to be where the action was, so it's no surprise he was a catcher on the Sayre baseball team, involved with every pitch.
His competitive spirit will be a part of every game played here and it means a great deal to his family to have this field named after him.
The new athletic complex is still under construction, but the baseball field from this day forward will honor the memory of a fallen marine whose courage will be a source of lasting inspiration.
