Reports Confirm Military Aircraft Crashed (Knox-Whitley)

We're told a military aircraft has gone down some time just before 5:00 Tuesday.

At this time rescue crews have not reported what type of aircraft it was or the number of passengers in the plane.

We do know the aircraft went down near the Woodbine area, just off the Knox-Whitley County line.

We're told the sheriffs department is looking for the wreckage. Several witnesses reported seeing the plane flying very close to the ground with smoking coming from the rear of the plane.

The plane flew directly over my house just before 4 p.m. I work for the local newspaper and was sending my editor an email just minutes before I heard it. I didnt see it, but it did cast a shadow over the back porch, so I knew it was flying low. I've heard reports of someone in Pulaski County seeing it at 4:17 p.m. and I know that information has to be incorrect. I'm just 3-4 miles from Woodbine.

Do you know where the plane is based? I'm near Wright AFB in Fairborn OH and was watching planes take off just before 4PM.
