Former Police Officer Brad Nighbert Arrested Again - Phil Pendleton Reports

Laurel County deputies arrested 29-year Brad Nighbert on several charges while they were at a crime scene for another reason.

The sheriff's department says Nighbert was acting suspiciously. So that's when police say they searched Nighbert's car and found 14,000 thousand dollars in cash in a dictionary with a hidden compartment.

They also reportedly found a pistol and 18-thousand dollars in a fanny pack. Nighbert faces numerous charges including impersonating a police officer.

Deputies say they were investigating a stabbing when Nighbert came to the scene.
