Police Say Wrong Brother Was Arrested

One day after threat charges are dropped against a murder suspect's brother another brother is now accused of threatening to kill the judge in the Brandy Rowe case.

State police say one of Don Reed's brothers told someone he wanted to kill the judge in the case, but they just arrested the wrong brother

They say now they have the right one arrested.

George Reed is now charged with intimidating a judicial officer.

His brother Louie was arrested and charged with the same offense Tuesday night, but released Thursday when officers said it was a misunderstanding.

Police now say that misunderstanding was the witness misidentified Louie for George.

Investigators say it was George Reed who was visiting his brother Don at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on Wednesday of last week when someone overheard him say he wanted to kill the judge in his brother's upcoming murder trial.

Jail officials say George Reed posted a $25,000 bond and got out of jail Friday afternoon.

George Reed and his wife said they don't want to make any comments until they consult with a lawyer.

He will be arraigned next week.
