Police Catch Man They Say Escaped From Cruiser

Police say around 9:00 Monday night a burglary call was placed at the Wise Recycling plant at 1554 Old Frankfort Pike.

When police arrived they took a man and woman into custody and placed both of them in the back seat of a cruiser. Some how the man rolled down the back seat window of the cruiser, jumped out of it and ran away.

Police searched for the suspect with a K-9 along Old Frankfort Pike and behind the recycling plant. They even used a helicopter in the search.

Eventually, officers spotted the suspect near Bob O'Link Drive, off South Broadway. They arrested him.
The suspect, 30-year old Edgar Miller, is in jail.

These are every day events that are completely preventable. A prisoner seatbelt alarm called Trooper Trap sounds an external vehicle alarm as soon as the prisoner releases the seatbelt. For more information visit www.troopertrap.com
