A third grade teacher has been indicted on sexual abuse charges.
Officials say Robert Brewer, a teacher at Campton Elementary is facing 2 counts of molestation with a minor and 2 counts of sexual abuse of a child under 12.
A mother of one of the allegded victims is speaking out, saying her daughter was violated in a place where she should have felt safe.
"Her third grade teacher is Mr. Brewer and she came to me one night and told me he had been touching her inappropriately. That's the worst part. You tell your kids to listen to their teachers and she just listened to her teacher and he abused her trust really really bad."
One mother testified to the grand jury and the girls say they witnessed Brewer abusing another one of their classmates.
She says her daughter's abuse became so bad she wouldn't wear shorts or skirts to school.
But one mother says what makes it even more difficult is that Brewer has not been arrested, despite being indicted on two counts of first degree sexual abuse.
"They said there was nobody there to serve the warrant right now. They would do it when they found somebody."
She says she wants Brewer to pay for what happened to her daughter but that's not the only reason she is speaking out.
"I want other kids to tell. It doesn't matter who it is, teacher, no matter who it is, they need to tell."
School officials tell us Brewer has been suspended.
