State Police In Full Force This Memorial Day Weekend

State Police will be out in force this holiday weekend.

Kentucky State Police plan to have extra patrols beginning Friday night and through Monday.

This year, State Police say they will be watching for people not wearing their seat belts, drinking and driving, and speeding.

Officials also remind you to slow down and use caution when an emergency vehicle is on the side of the road. Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of the summer driving season.

I'm all for safety on the roads, but where are the police other weekends when people are FLYING past me doing at least 90? I travel the interstate regularly and generally only see cops on holiday weekends. People drink and drive and drive irresponsibly more than just on holiday weekends!
