Elementary School Teacher Indicted on Sexual Abuse Charges Arrested

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) - An eastern Kentucky elementary school teacher has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of sexual abuse against two students.

The Wolfe County grand jury indicted 39-year-old Robert Brewer of Campton yesterday on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. Police say Brewer say Brewer committed the acts on two students at Campton Elementary, where he is a teacher.

Brewer was released to the Wolfe County Jailer on a 50-thousand dollar cash bond while police continue the investigation.

GUILTY! I hear he had a witness for him that is a King girl. Come on NOONE in this town will believe what that girl says and If I am not mistaken werent you seen with her several times Robert? It sounds to me like someone Robert has been seeing is vouching for Robert. BAD BAD and it will come out in court which will mean more problems for Robert. I see his whole house tumbling down and I feel bad for his wife.

If my child came home and told me that any man touched her whether it was a teacher or whoever. I would believe her and many of you that say he couldnt do it would also believe their child. These mothers are doing exactly what they should do. I wish you all luck and my prayers are with you.

Thank you for standing up for children against the scum of the earth. People just cant believe someone with a name like Brewer would do this or a teacher. Better go to badteachers page ect. While most teachers are great you have to realize there are alot of pedifiles that are teachers, preist, ect. They have to be well liked in their community or they wouldnt get away with it like they do. Noone really knows someone. look at this mans wife; she doesnt even know him or if she does she is nuts. I believe the children. I dont see any motive for a child to make something like this up. As far as parents go; it is my understanding that the ky. state police went to school and interviewed many children and they found these girls so the whole story of the mothers doing it doesnt ring true at all. police believe it, prosecutor believes it, social workers believe it, and a grand jury of 12 people who know robert do so people open your EYES. better yet your heart.

I know the mother of one of these children and I know she done what any mother would do so many people are looking down on her and trying to make her look bad but ask your self what would I do if it was my baby girlI know the Brewers are well liked in the county and noone would ever think that her could ever do such a thing but if you had all the facts you would see I hope they hang him.

As I know people have stated before neither family is from breathitt. NEITHER one. I know them both. and they dont know each other. Now robert goes back to court the 5th..this week. It will proably just go on to trial. But still it will all come out in court. AND BB I have a feeling you dont know what you are talking about. You dont even know where you live, much less all the facts of this case. Both girls are in therapy. They will never be the same, and if any of you ever sit and talked to them you could tell also. They have just changed. I pray for them. And I wish all the best to theresa brewer. She is an amazing woman and i respect her alot. Im in awe and shock at what has happened. But all i believe is to listen to the children. And i dont believe they would have made it up, and I do believe them, I just hope the truth comes out and justice is served. Until then Lets pray for ALL families involved.

i am a family member and this child has never stepped foot in a breathitt county school room. She has been here since pre-school so you are wrong and should get your facts straight before you say things. You say they and I know only of the one because my daughter has been in her classes in k and 1st so I dont know about the other child but since you say they you must mean both so you are WRONG!
