Court Appearance For Man Accused Of Killing Toddler

In Laurel County on Tuesday, a man accused of killing a 16-month-old boy made a court appearance.

The case against Clarence David Mullens was waived on to the grand jury.

Investigators say Mullens was babysitting his girlfriend's baby, Bradden Collopy, when he hurt the boy. The coroner says the child died from blunt force trauma.

Also in court Tuesday, a judge refused to set bond for Mullens.

If the justice system does not start dishing out stiffer penalties for this type of thing, they will only grow worse. Not only that, these women should not leave children with boyfriends, especially if they are not the children's father. Get these dead beat men off their backsides and make them go to work and you stay at home with the children!
