Couple Finds Strange Man In Home

More Video...

A frightening experience for a Lexington couple, when they find a strange man inside their home.

It happened at a home on Vale Drive, in the Dogwood Trace neighborhood of south Lexington.

The couple inside the home says they heard a strange sound.
When the husband went to check it out, he confronted a man.

The man took off without taking anything.

Police believe he got in through an unlocked door in the basement.

I THINK THAT THE CRIME RATE IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE DONT HAVE ENOUGH POLICE MAN TO COVER THE LARGE AREAS, AND THE ONES WE DO HAVE ARE VERY UNDER PAID.

The homeowner should have shot the intruder. The new KY law states that homeowners have the right to use deadly force against intruders and I'm so happy they passed that law. In my opinion, thieves and killers and rapists etc deserve to be shot.

Kentucky's new self defense law speaks for itself. You don't have to run or be attacked in your own home. Lexington residents need to wake up and buy personal safety devices. Hint-->.38, .357, 9mm. Shoot a few of those who think they can come in and steal, rob, and attack you. Home invasions would simply go away.

We thank God that neither of you were hurt. Two of our family were brutally assaulted at knifepoint earlier this week in Georgetown (near you), badly beaten, and tied up as well as being robbed and having their car stolen and crashed before the police caught the man. The wife of this couple is still in the hospital where she had to have surgery on her jaw broken in three places. She also has other serious injuries. We pray God will give you comfort and peace in the midst of this traumatic experience and trust you will never go through such an experience again!

With crime as high as it is in a metro area like Lexington, how foolish to leave your doors unlocked. I guess they're lucky they weren't slaughtered by our drug-ridden trash we have roaming the streets looking for something to steal so they can further their habit.

Thank God the intruder didn't hurt this couple when they confronted him. Stuff like this makes me sick, we are not safe in our own homes anymore. If someone breaks in my house while I am home they had better be ready to be shot cause that is what is going to happen to them if I can get to my gun before they shoot me.
