Grand Jury To Try Garrard County Case

A grand jury will decide the case of a Central Kentucky official involved in a deadly accident.

Police say Dwayne Nave was driving his car down US 27 in Garrard County when he crossed the center line and hit a truck head-on.

The driver of that truck, Will Quinn, was killed.

State police have toxicology results back for Nave, but are not releasing any information.

Nave is Garrard County's Director of Disaster Services.

The Grand Jury is next scheduled to meet on June 8th.

I find it hard to believe that a state official who has tested not once but twice positive on a drug test was still allowed to be driving/working for state with a state vehicle off duty driving drunk and several area county officials knew about the results especially Garrard county and it takes something like this before county does anything and only because of witness that was behind Nave truck was staying a safe distance behind Nave because of him crossing into the other lane but he still managed to kill my brother! What I find more disturbing is that he is still driving and making comments to friend and people that he feels bad but **** happens only he didn't realize that he had made that comment to his friend who works with my brother. I think that if he gets away with this and is somehow still able to drive that every official in Garrard County that did nothing when they had the proof along before this tragic and especially since the last test was a week prior should be held accountable and responsible more so because of the position they let Nave hold on to as an EMT!
