LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A southeastern Kentucky teenager died
Monday of injuries he suffered last week in a fall at Lake
Cumberland, a deputy coroner said.
Seth Neal, 16, of Burnside in Pulaski County, died at about
12:50 a.m. EDT at University of Kentucky Hospital, Fayette County
Chief Deputy Coroner Miles White said.
Neal was on top of a cliff with some friends last Tuesday and
was climbing down a tree to reach a boat dock below it, White said.
He reached for a limb, which broke, and Neal fell about 150 feet,
White said.
"Seth's father told me they had done it a hundred times
before," White said.
The main cause of death was blunt-force trauma to the head, he
said.
