Man Charged With Burning Child

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - A Bowling Green man has been arrested after allegedly burning the feet of his girlfriend's two-year-old daughter.

Twenty-one-year-old Aaron Jones was charged yesterday with first-degree criminal abuse.

An arrest citation says the child's injuries were reported after she was seen at The Medical Center at Bowling Green for second-degree burns to her feet and discoloration to her head and back. The child's mother told police Jones was the only person at home with the two-year-old at the time of the injuries.

Jones told officers he became angry after the girl urinated and defecated on herself. Police say he held the child under scalding hot water and held her head while she screamed. He's being held in the Warren County Regional Jail without bond.

I pray for this little girl and the other children of this world that are suffering. I've seen my own grandchild suffer because of his dad's immorale and selfish behavior. I think if anyone would gather the statisics, most child abuse comes from "dead beat" dads and their girlfriends and I think one find that drugs or alcohol are also involved. If our legislaters, prosecuting attorney's and judges had to have at least 5 years police experience for the jobs they hold, things would be better. This country needs to get back on the foundation the founding fathers built. Example: Where in the 1st ammendment of the Constitution of the United States does it proclaim the seperation of Church and State? Read it. Why should a "minority" rule this country? Doen't the politician with the majority vote win the election? How long are we going to let repeat offenders wear the hinges on the courthouse doors before we get tough? How long are we going to treat criminals better than our military personel? We need to wake up America.

I am truly happy that this mother gave this creep up to the cops herself and didn't wait for some hospital official to intervene. That at least gives me hope that the baby is cared for by her. She may have had a lapse in judgement but do we really know anyone. We all take that chance when we leave our children even at an acredited day care service. Just look at the news lately of how many children are hurt or killed by them. I pray that this child heals swiftly and that she is young enough not to be scarred emotionaly by what has happened to her at such a young age. My heart and prayers are with you little one! Jesus, let everyone that reads my note take a moment to bow their head in prayer that this child over comes the abuse against her that not only does her physical wounds heal swiftly but the emotional wounds as well. Amen...

If this man burned this child, what all has he done to her in the past. They could have been more incidents in the past, but the mother might not have realize it. She realized this incident but what if they have been others in the past? Are the authorties going to look into that? If the man would go as far as burning this child I think he has probably abuse this poor child before. He needs to be sentenced correctly.

Morality , your full of it, theres plenty of non biological, unmarried parents that are wonderful around children. Also plenty of married biological parents that i wouldn't let raise a turnip. As far as your notion about the guy running off, i'm sorry if this has happened to you or someone you love, not all divorced fathers are like that, i damn sure am not. The issue is abuse, and the woman that left her kid with this guy wouldn't have done it had she thought the idiot would have tortured that poor baby.. Use some common sense
