GLASGOW, Ky. (AP) - A 69-year-old south central Kentucky woman has been charged with bootlegging.
Maxine Payton was arrested and charged with trafficking in alcoholic beverages in a dry territory, according to the Horse Cave Police Department.
A search warrant was obtained for Payton's home after investigation into complaints that she was selling alcoholic beverages. Officers retrieved a variety of beverages from Payton's home, including 12 30-can cases of beer, and bottles of bourbon and gin.
