Deadly Crash Shuts Down Lexington Road for Hours

A deadly crash shut down a Lexington road for several hours Saturday.
It happened just after 7 p.m. on Parkers Mill Road, just a few miles from Man o' War.
Witnesses say one driver was speeding and swerving, when he hit another car head on. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two people in the other car were taken to the UK Medical Center with non life threatening injuries. Authorities have not released the victims names yet.
Parkers Mill Road reopened around 10 p.m. Saturday.

    People need to relaize that speeding and driving recklessly dosen;t just endanger themselves, it endangers other people's lives as well, there have been a number of accidents in Lexington involving teenagers and people speeding.

    Another case of drinking and driving. When will City Council do something about it? Will they do something before the 2010 World Games? Just remember, it is someone else's child, husband, father or mother that is hurt or killed but it is the CITY that get the tax money and other returns off liguor, wine and beer sales. Where ARE the CITY'S PRIORITIES?
