LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A high school teacher has resigned during
the middle of an investigation in which he allegedly used his teeth
to remove the garter of a student during the prom.
Brett Coogle, an English teacher at Western High School, quit on
Monday said Lauren Roberts, public information officer with the
Jefferson County Public Schools.
Roberts said a photo taken at the school's prom on May 11
appeared to show Coogle taking a candy garter off a female student
with his teeth. Coogle was reassigned to non-instructional duties
on May 17.
Coogle worked in the school system since 2001 and was the
school's volleyball and softball coach.
