This is not the first time this has happened. i do not know these people personally but a friend of mine lives about three houses down from them. The baby was rushed to he hospital one night last month and i talked to someone there asking how the baby was and they said the baby was home and i asked what happened and she said the baby had asthma and the mother smoked around him and did not know how totake care of him.

I agree people tend to jump to fast anymore because of past circumstances to blame the parents. They may not have know that laying on his stomach could hinder his breathing especially since he had asthma but I agree with the others. How do you know ( annonymous from Richmond ) that they placed him that way. This child was plenty old enough to have rolled over by himself...! Show some compassion for the parents feelings and with hold your cruel judgement for further information or better yet for The Lord to make. Remember we are not to judge anyone!

I don't think anyone really wants to jump at a chance to blame parents, it's just become so commonplace in Kentucky that it does turn out to be the parents that it's the first thought when a child is found dead. It's become so common for that to be the case!

I think that anytime a baby dies, people want to jump at the chance to blame parents. As some of you have said, a 3 month old can roll. This is a tragic event that have already probably torn this childs family to pieces. My prayers will be for the child and the parents. Sometimes, there are no explanations. Things happen. We have to accept them. Even if the parents did lay the baby on his stomach, they are human. That shouldn't cause them to be considered for murder. My heart goes out to these parents.

First, I want to offer my prayers to little Jeremiah's family...and point out AGAIN that it is way too early in this investigation to be laying blame...Let's all put ourselves in their shoes--I cannot imagine what they are going through even without random people throwing out a bunch of comments...Keep your faith, Jeremiah is with the Angels

I have a nine month old and a two year old, it is very possible that this baby rolled over on its own. Its difficult for a baby this young to handle such breathing problems. If the family sees this message just remember that everything happens for a reason and only one person knows that reason and that is the one above us. Your baby is safe and out of harms way and I will be thinking of you.

I totally agree, Anonymous from Richmond obviously does not have children. When my son was that young, I would place him on his back and he always ended up on his stomach no matter what I did. You need to become a little more educated before offer up such ridiculous comments.

Well, anonymous, a 3 month old can roll over! First comment and someone already is trying to lay blame!!! If you read the article it said the baby was found laying on his stomach, it never said anything about mom, dad, aunt, uncle or neighbor put him there as you are in insinuating!!! Have compassion for a family that just lost their little baby. To little Jermiah's family I will say a prayer for you.
