Former Bryan Station High School Coach Rehired

The coach of the Bryan Station Boys Basketball team, who was fired earlier this month, has been rehired.

The announcement was made Friday afternoon during a press conference at the high school.

When the coach was replaced from his coaching position earlier this month, players rallied behind Coach Champ Ligon.

Ligon won several games in the last three years more than any other public high school in Lexington.

Bryan Station's principal said she feels Ligon is sincere about wanting to move forward and work together.

Now that coaching situation has been corrected(that should have never occured anyway).I would like to know what they plan on doing to correct the administration problem at the school? And yes there is a problem has'nt anyone been listening to the parents, students,or the staff! It's time for Stu or the school board to step up and do thier job! If nothings is done then this will occur again and again. I also feel that Champ should've gotten a public apology! But of course she feels she's done nothing wrong! She gave this man his job back to try and save there own butts! But I assure you the first chance she gets he will be terminated again!

I am relieved Champ Ligon is coming back as the coach at Bryan Station High School. It is amazing how he was reinstated on the day he met with Stu Silberman. The media, and the community must been to much for her to handle. Go Defenders!
