Violent Home Invasion Injures Lexington Couple

A disturbing wake up call Tuesday morning for a Lexington couple.

Police say the couple, living on Squires Road, woke up to a strange man in their bedroom at around 3:00, Tuesday morning.

Police tell us shots were fired inside the home, but no one was shot

The man and woman jumped out of a second story window to escape from the gunman. The woman hurt her ankle and her husband was also taken to the hospital to be treated for trauma.

They have both been released from the hospital.

When the suspect is caught, he'll face burglary and wanton endangerment charges.

SURE IS A DISAPOINTMENT THAT THE MAN AND WOMAN DID GET A CHANCE TO "PLUG" THE LOW LIFE BETWEEN THE EYES. IT IS GETTING TO THE POINT WE ALL WILL HAVE TO TAKE TURNS STANDING GUARD WHILE OTHERS REST. SAME WAY WE DID IN SERVICE. GETTING TO BE TOO MANY PEOPLE THAT WANT SOMETHING FOR "NOTHING".
