Federal Amendment That Supported Coal To Liquid Fuels Was Voted Down

The federal amendment that supported coal to liquid fuels was voted down by the U.S. Senate Tuesday by a vote of 55 to 39.

Kentucky Senator Jim Bunning sponsored the bill that would have required America to phase-in the use of six billion gallons of coal-to-liquid fuel by 2022.

Bunning called the vote, "A victory for middle eastern oil and a loss for the American people."

Now, who is getting paid off by the big oil companies to watch out for their interests? The vote was 55 to 39, so you can pretty safely assume our US Senate has a majority (at least 55) who receive enough money from big oil to vote this amendment down.

It's almost impossible for the American people to get out of the grip of Big Oil Companies....However, we the people owe Senator Bunning a lot of graditude for standing up for us anyway! Thank you Senator Bunning.

Anything to help the poor of the coal mining areas is going to be shot down in Washington. We have no money for lobbyist like the big money making oil companies.

America needs to have a choice between dependence on foreign oil and alternative fuels. We are being held hostage because it is not politically correct to do anything that would reduce the profits of the oil magnates...Let's pray that people will learn to be satisfied with enough...so that all can have enough...As far as coal to liquid fuel...or any alternative...let's just pray that somehow the alternatives will not contribute any more to global warming than the current sources. With education, studies, and prayer I'm sure alternatives will work, because God assured us that He would provide Enough!!!
