this was a tragic thing to happen and I am praying for this family I can only imagine what they are going through, but I also agree that a child that young or any child for that matter should be watched more closely, my grandchildren love to play in the pool but we dont even let them around a pool unsuperized and they are much older, you just cant take your eyes off little ones, but this family will have to live with this the rest of their lives so we need to pray for them,

I really feel for the family, this is a tragic accident. Parents need to keep a closer eye on their children expecially if they have a pool, bathtub or even a bucket of water nearby. Accidents do happen but most of these type of accidents can be prevented. I feel awful for the familys loss.

There is no excuse for this. Why was there not an adult watching this child? There should be gates, fences, or something to prevent this from happening. If you don't have a gate or a fence then why would you let a small child access where the pool is located. I have small grandchildren and have a pool for them to enjoy. There are two security gates that they will have to go through before they can access the pool. It is called prevention! Wake up people become aware that a pool is nice to own and use in the heat but is as deadly to a child as a gun is to a person in the wrong hands!
