Lexington Firefighters to Attend Memorial Service in Charleston

Four members of the Lexington-Fayette Division of Fire and Emergency Services will be representing Lexington at a memorial service for the nine Charleston, S.C., firefighters who died in the line of duty earlier this week.

Lt. Arthur Ashley, Lt. Jeff Carr, Firefighter Antoinne Tribble and Lt. Raynard Williams left from Fire Headquarters (219 E. Third Street) at 11 a.m. today to attend the memorial service. The service will be held Friday at 10 a.m.

    My heart goes out to the firefighters families, being married to a captain of our fire dept. I know how deep this loss effects all the botherhood. God bless them all.
