Car Plows Into Grocery Store; Driver Arrested

Shoppers at a Frankfort Kroger got more than they bargained for when a car came barreling into the store!

It happened at just before 4:00, Friday afternoon at the grocery store off highway 60 in Frankfort.

Police say Emily Gable of Frankfort was behind the wheel of a silver Mercedes when she lost control, hit another car in the parking lot and then ran through the front doors of the store.

Several passengers narrowly escaped being hit by the car which came to rest near the customer service desk.

There were no serious injuries reported.

Police arrested Gable. She's charged with DUI and wanton endangerment.

The managers closed the Kroger down for a while so they could clean up the glass and other damage caused by the crash.

they need to give this woman the maxium that is allowed for this. Had a female drunk driver go through my home 2 months ago, she was charged with only DUI and has yet to be arrainged on the charges, forgot her daddy is a retired police officer of London. She hasn't spent one night in jail.
