Burglar Fires Shots At Homeowner

A Madison County man says a burglar fired shots at him overnight.
It happened on Mountain View Drive, between Berea and Richmond.

Daniel Bryant says he left his garage door open. When he went to check on it, he found a man standing inside.

Bryant says he confronted the man, who then started firing shots at him.

Bryant was able to escape without being injured.

The homeowner says the man was trying to get away with a weed eater.

KSP troopers used dogs to track the person but lost the scent and have very little in terms of a description at this time. They say burglaries that turn into shootings are highly unusual.

Bryant tells us that he is shocked that someone would go to such lengths over a gardening tool.

The grass isn't even growing here in Madison County and yards are dead, so why would this guy need a weed eater.

Right on Ralph in Pikeville, let's hang these idiots instead of paying for their many visits through court system and their stays in jail (if they do any time that is).

I bet the perp was a druggie, with a long criminal history. If the Judges in this State would give these fools some real time when caught, instead of looking at them as victim of society or good people with a problem, the hard working Citizens of the Commonwealth could rest a bit easier at night.

It is time to start shooting back. These criminals need to learn a lesson. These criminals are obviously not afraid of the legal system. Lets see how they like it when someone fires back at them!

I would love to have a description of the low life. Maybe someone could identify him.
