Make Springfield, KY Home Of The Simpsons

Springfield, in Washington County, wants to host the national debut of The Simpsons Movie.
It's one of 14 Springfield's nationwide hoping to land the premiere.

Springfields in Massachusetts, Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, New Jersey, Florida, Michigan, Kentucky, Nebraska, Colorado, Louisiana and Vermont to submit three- to five-minute films showcasing each community's "Simpson Spirit" by June 28.

Folks in the 'Kentucky' town say, just fighting for the opportunity has been good for the community.

You can vote for Springfield, Kentucky, until July 9th, on USA Today's website.

    No other state but KY can host the Simpsons because KY is the home of the Simpsons already!! Don't believe me? Watch the episode entitled "Behind the Laughter." I have looked up the episode on youtube. Here is the link. Watch for yourself!! It clearly states that the simpsons are from a "Northern Kentucky town"!!! This is stated at minute 4:38.
