The Laurel County Sheriff’s Department and officers from the county’s Division of Public Safety made a major meth lab bust early Sunday and arrested six people.
Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a complaint of a Possible meth lab at 115 Sweet Hollow Road in Corbin at about 4:15 a.m.
Officers located what they described as “an active meth lab,” finding produced meth inside the residence, as well as a lot of ingredients necessary to make meth.
Laurel County Division of Public Safety Director and several deputy directors spear-headed the bust.
Charges against the six suspects – men and women ranging in age from 23 to 33 - ranged from manufacturing methanphetamine, and possession of a controlled substance to unlawful possession of ingredients used to produce the final product.
