Fire Destroys Home

Firefighters respond to a house fire at 407 Retrac road Sunday night.
The house caught fire just after eight.
There was no extensive fire damage to the home, and firefighters were able to contain the fire to the bottom floor.
No one was home at the time, but a dog did manage to escape. He was later found safe nearby.
The family did have insurance and they plan to rebuild.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
