New Police Chief Starts Monday

Beginning today, the city of Richmond will have a new police chief.

Mayor Connie Lawson will swear in Larry Brock at nine this morning.

Brock was chosen from ten finalists.
Recently, he worked in Cleveland, with the Department of Justice.

In an earlier interview with 27 NEWSFIRST, Brock said he is optimistic about the future of the department, and that he will strive to make the community proud of its police force.

Know if we can just keep those few nosey council members OUT of the police station, maybe, just maybe, the Police Chief will be able to perform his duties. We need to understand that there are a few council members who like to stir up trouble and are always in the police station nosing about. Let this Chief do his job, if not, I'll come hang out in the offices of the council members and nose my way around and see how you like it.
