OWENSBORO, Ky. (AP) - A western Kentucky call center for wireless phones will be adding 70 jobs. AT&T officials say the move is aimed at accommodating growth among wireless users.
Cathy Lewandowski is the phone company's market manager for Kentucky and Tennessee. She says Owensboro will be one of four places in the Southeast providing information for the phone company's wireless customers.
The call center currently has about 100 employees. Lewandowski says the new hires are in part a result of AT&T offering more services.
She says the 70 new jobs will be phased in over the next year.
