People in one eastern Kentucky county are having some trouble with their phone service on this 4th of July.
Lawrence County officials say a cut in a fiber optic line is preventing callers from being able to dial anyone outside of their 3-number prefix..
This also means the residents aren't able to dial 9-11.
The 911 coordinator is asking everyone to call their local fire departments in case of an emergency and says someone will be there to make sure you get the help you need.
No word yet when the problem will be fixed.
