Richmond police say a man is now in custody after a chase that ended this morning on EKU's campus.

Police say 28-year-old Arthur Hoskins wouldn't stop when they tried to pull him over on the Eastern Bypass for driving erratically.

They chased him onto the Eastern Kentucky University campus where Hoskins drove over an embankment and through a parking lot before landing in a field behind the business center.

That's when the car caught fire and Hoskins ran off.

Authorities sealed off the area, and brought in K-9 Units, who located Hoskins hiding in nearby bushes.

Police arrested Hoskins on several charges, including fleeing and evading and resisting arrest.

He is now being held in the Madison County Detention Center.
