Possible Break For The Search Of Missing Louisville Boy

The body of a young male was found inside
a bag in a city garbage truck on Saturday in the same neighborhood
where a missing 4-year-old boy was last seen eight days ago, police
Metro Police Chief Robert White could not confirm the age or
identity of the corpse pending the results of an autopsy, but added
foul play could be suspected.
"It's a small young male, more than likely it was a child,
given the size of the body," said White, who didn't comment on how
long the body may have been in the bag.
Trash workers discovered the body in the truck while at the
corner of 3rd St. and Central Ave., one block from Churchill Downs.
The site was near the home of Cesar "Ivan" Anguilar-Cano, who was
last seen playing near the apartment building his family lives in
on June 29.
Police and volunteers have searched the neighborhood daily since
the boy's disappearance. His family is offering a $5,000 reward and
said it would bypass the police in order to get information about
the boy's whereabouts.
His uncle, Rene Aguilar Quevedo, had said the family was willing
to bypass police because they thought people might have been afraid
to come forward with information.
Police did not originally believe the boy was abducted, but have
not ruled it out as a possibility.
Spanish-speaking officers wearing civilian clothes went
door-to-door on Friday in the neighborhood around the track search
for the boy. Members of the Exploited Children's Help Organization
(ECHO) distributed fliers to local businesses and at gates to
Churchill Downs.
Officers set up a roadblock near the last place the boy was seen
to talk with motorists.
White said he still considers the search for the boy active.

I pray for this family...But must ask Where were the Amber Alerts last week? I know there is criteria in order to issue one, but I think ANY child that is missing... there should be an ALERT. This is a very sad situation and I am very sorry the family has to suffer such a tradegy. May God comfort them in this hour.
