LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - The global economy has reached a small business in Meade County.
Karen Bonn of Restorative Medical has signed a Chinese distribution deal worth at least 50-thousand dollars in its first full year.
The deal was the result of the state's recent trade trip to China.
Boon started her company in the early 1990s. The company -- with nine employees -- makes devices that help people with disabilities improve their range of motion in certain joints and areas of the body. Unlike splints or braces, the company's devices are flexible.
Bonn says she was approached last year by a Chinese company
interested in distributing the products.
