Former UK Player Robbed At Gunpoint

Former UK Basketball star Antoine Walker is okay this morning after being robbed at his Chicago home.

The Courier-Journal reports two robbers held the Miami Heat forward and one other person at gunpoint during the robbery.
The robbers got away with a vehicle, jewelry and cash.

Back in 2000, Walker and another former UK player, Nazr Mohammed, were robbed, also in Chicago.

Walker was part of the 1996 NCAA Championship team at Kentucky.

Well let me sat that it is a shame for any fellow american who gets robbed, raped, mugged or what ever the crime..... all persons committing the crime should pay the time.... It don't matter if they play for U.K. (buy it does hit home).... If you can't support your town.. team or state team shut up.... I love U.K. and feel a kin to all (from KY). but I don't care where you are from if a crime has occurred the time needs to apply. SO GET A (REAL) LIVE PEOPLE

Kim; do you hear about every story of someone being robbed? Heck no, but when it involves a UK basketball or former UK basketball player, then it always gets in the media no matter what the story is. Quit treating these players like gods and just get on with life. Do you think he'd give a rat's hiney if you got robbed?

I'm sorry but "Who Cares" needs to have more sympathy for people. I am a Christian and I sure do!! I am sorry to hear one of our former players was robbed and am proud to say so. I feel for people a litle better than that! Especially when Walker used to play for UK.

It's news because the Kentucky media thinks that everyone lives and dies by the UK basketball program. Boy are they mistaken.

Well, "Ditto" and "So What", funny that you both say 'who cares' yet you both opened and read the story.
