Pizza Delivery Driver Robbed At Gunpoint

A pizza delivery turned dangerous early Wednesday morning in Lexington when the delivery man was robbed at gunpoint.

Police say four men believed to be teenagers approached the man on Hanna Place, near Todds and Richmond Roads.

Police say two of the teens had guns and took cash and pizzas from the Papa John's worker.

Police later found some of the cash and other items in the area.

So far, no arrests in the case.

I have a son who is a driver for Papa Johns and I got him some pepper spray and a stun gun to carry with him. Now that he is 21, all three of us are going to get our concealed carry permits and then none of us will be without some means with which to protect ourselves. My wife and I carry guns in our glove compartments, which is entirely legal but what if you are not in your vehicle when a piece of trash, such as these kids, comes sticking a gun in your face? That's why everyone should carry a concealed firearm. They'll run a background check on you to make sure you're not scum like these kids before they'll issue you a carry license. Fight crime, shoot back. Don't just be a pacifist victim. If they'd enforce the laws already on the books instead of trying to pass new ones that do nothing but disarm honest citizens, maybe these kids wouldn't have had guns in the first place. If the guns belong to their parents, then their parents should go to jail. That's part of the responsibility that comes with being a gun owner.

The police can't be everywhere all the time so don't blame the police. Where were the parents of these teenagers? Lack of parental involvement should be the first thing addressed. Yes I know, you'll say kids will be kids but that's a cop-out. If you teach your kids right from wrong, let them know the consequences for their actions, they'll turn out to be good kids unlike these teens who robbed this pizza guy. Yeah, that is a bad area. Fortunately, I lived there in the early 90s before it got bad but I knew it was going downhill fast and got the hell out. Simply put, don't blame the police for the actions of others. If we had enough money to have a cop on every corner, it still wouldn't deter some people from doing wrong. I still say like most have said on here that we should start identifying juveniles by name and picture when they commit a crime. Humiliation is a better deterent than the "possibility" of jail. As you know, most juveniles offenders don't do jail time; they are "rehabilitated." Yeah right, that doesn't work.

I AGREE THAT THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR YEARS. MY COUSIN AND GIRLFRIEND KILLED A MAN AND ARE NOW IN PRISON. THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT TO DEATH. A LIFE FOR A LIFE. EVEN THOUGH THE REST OF THE FAMILY WOULD MISS THEM.... THEY DONE THE CRIME THEY SHOULD PAY THE TIME... NOT MATTER. EVEN THOUGH A FAMILY MEMBER DONE THE CRIME IT DOES NOT MEAN THE ENTIRE FAMILY IS ROTTEN....

This area has been a problem for years! I used to work at Richmond Rd PJ's in high school, and our drivers were always warned about any areas near Richmond Rd and Woodhill. Several drivers were robbed in both areas when I worked there. Does the Lex Police not patrol anywhere??

We need more police and jails for this country to clean it up, and then worry about other countries. There are streets and roads you'd better not be on, in this country, when the sun goes down.
