The man accused of causing a deadly accident while driving drunk pleaded not guilty today in court.

Raymond Garner faces three murder charges. Police say he was driving drunk down Interstate 75 in Whitley County when he crossed into oncoming traffic and hit three cars.

An eight-year-old and a pregnant woman died in the crash. Others are still in the hospital recovering from injuries.

I am very close friend to the family of the victims. and I have to listen every day to the recovery of the 3 children who's pregnant mother died.and listen to what the kids are going though now. it pains me to hear how a person can get into a automoble and drive that way. Mr. Garner may be a good person, in some folks eyes, but his judgement to drive, now cost himself and alot of innocent familys sadness and heartache. and I hope justice will be served. The children and family now have a lifetime of what if's and could of beens all because this man desided to drive drunk!

Well said Karie. This "great man?" is sober now and he is still not taking any responsibility for his actions. He was thinking straight enough to try to weasel out of it the second he crawled from his truck and tried to say it was a hitch-hikers fault. The only thing I agree with him on is I wish he could trade places with the victims.

He may have been a great man at one time, but he has now killed 3 people, left 2 young children in the hospital with no mother, no baby brother, and lots of healing to over come, a mother with no daughter, sister with no sister. Not to mention a father who now has to raise his children and help them over come this pain, or the family and friends who knew any of the people involved. I don't think when it comes time to sentence they should think of what a "great" man he may have been. This is not the first time he has been driving when he shouldn't have been. He was a grown man, he knew better then to be driving. Now, we can only hope justice be done!
