Gas Station 'Makes' Money During Attempted Robbery

A man tries to rob a Georgetown gas station, and the gas station actually ends up making money.

Around 2:30, police say a man went into a Shell Station off I-75 asked for a pack of cigarettes and handed the clerk a twenty. When the clerk opened the drawer, police say the man tried to grab some cash. The clerk fought him off and the robber ran away without any money or cigarettes.

He's described as a white man, around 5'4 with a receding hairline and a goatee. Police say he was last seen wearing a white pocketed t-shirt and black shorts with white stripes around the bottom.

It is a terrible shame that there are people out there who do theses kinds of things. I am glad that it didn't turn out in a bad way. Gas station employees are just trying to make a living and its sad that these criminals dont have more sympathy than that.

Haha! That's funny... Scary for the clerk but funny that the man lost money. Hopefully they can get the criminal with the camera footage (if there is any)!

You gotta love stupid criminals. I'm glad nobody got hurt in this instance. That $20 (albeit a small amount) should go to the clerk that stopped the stupid criminal.
