House Speaker Richards On Special Session

Kentucky House Speaker Jody Richards says State Representatives will walk out again if Governor Fletcher resumes a Special Session on July 30th.

Richards calls the Governor's motives political and says no case can be made for the urgency of a mid-summer session.

Governor Fetcher says he might remove items from the agenda that democrats believe are political.

The interview with Speaker Richards runs tomorrow morning at eleven.

This piece of legislation was vetoed by Gov. Fletcher at the conclusion of the regular session of the General Assembly. Ernie is playing politics with the unneeded special session. Fletcher has to act now because he won't be there after Dec 13th. The democrats are correct in thier actions and should be applauded for standing up to the russian mafia!

I am so angry at our congressmen. If they think that a multi-billion dollar factory with 3000 jobs is such a minor thing to the people of kentucky that it is too troublesome to come to the special meeting, then they are not operating in the best interest of the people of kentucky. I think we should have a re-call election and replace all of them. They are already there, vote on the project and get on with it.
