Body Pulled From Lake Cumberland

Medical examines performed an autopsy Monday on the body of a drowning victim, found in Russell County.

Search crews found a body they believe to be 37-year-old Mark Sayers on Sunday afternoon in the Wolfe and Dudley Creek area of Lake Cumberland.

Emergency Management officials say the Boone County Search and Rescue Team brought in a sonar device to help locate the body. Divers from Pulaski County were then sent in to retrieve the body.

Sayers disappeared in June after a boat crash.

To The Family of Jimmy, I will miss Jimmy very much. He was always so helpful to me. He encouraged me to find work thru Tandem Solutions/Alamo National Car Rental which I did and have been employed there for over a year thanks to Jimmy. He also helped me shovel out my car one winter day in December of 2006 which was plowed in by snow plows the night before. I will miss him dearly and was sad to hear of tragic passing. I wish I could make it to his services but can't afford to at this time that's why I am sending along my condolences at this time. Thank you and know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
