Stumbo May Run Against McConnell For U.S. Senate Seat

He lost a bid to become the state's lieutenant governor, but Kentucky Attorney General Greg Stumbo may now have his sights set on Washington.
The Democrat is forming an exploratory campaign committee to find out his chances of winning a U.S. Senate seat.
He would go up against Republican Mitch McConnell next year.
McConnell has already raised more than $7 million for a re-election campaign.

I'll vote for Stumbo if he decides to go up against McConnell! I'm tired of seeing McConnell standing beside Bush. It's time for KY to "Ditch Mitch"! Ky doesn't benefit from his position anymore! He has been corrupted by special interest groups in Washington.

If the Democrats want any chance of winning, they had better find someone more electable than Stumbo. Most voters will still remember his failed witch hunt that cost taxpayers millions and accomplished nothing.

I hope he does run against Mitch. This will finally get rid of Stumbo for good in state wide politics.

Stumbo needs to hang it up. I personally would not vote for him for any office. He is a gold digger and a lying public official. I don't think the man would know the truth if it came up and bite him on the behind! He kept alot of good bills from even getting to the floor for votes while serving in the legalative office he held and to me that makes him bias and not fit for office again. He also dug up the dirt of Fletcher's hiring practice, then made a plea bargain and let him off the hook...what kind of deal was that if not purely political! I'm not a Fletcher fan either, but I'm also not a Stumbo fan either. All politicians are lairs, not one of them really care to service the people who put them in office. Their only concern appears to be to next office they can hold. IF any of them cared about the citizens of Kentucky, then they would do something to keep our children from going to bed hungry! We have thousands of children in this state that go to bed hungry because of the policies in place and not one of them even care enough to change those policies. If Stumbo wants to do something, why not work on making it so poor families who are getting food stamps, don't waste those funds are candy, soda, chips and other junk food. Instead give them some laundry detergant, soap, dish soap to keep their house clean and REAL food to fed their children. Stop food stamp recieptants from buying food for someone else and getting cash in return. I know that this happens because I was approach by someone who wanted to give me his children food money for cash. I turn him in, but the government office personnel told me there was nothing they could do about it. "That happens all the time" was the comment I recieved. So Stumbo, do something in the office you currently hold BEFORE you go to another one.
