New autopsy results are in, but the report says very little about what happened to an Alabama man who was last seen alive near a Super Eight Motel in Pikeville.
The family of Matthew Dobbs believes he was murdered and they're hoping a reward will lead to an arrest and conviction.
Matthew Dobb's autopsy results are in, but neither Pikeville Police or the victims family know anything new about what happened to him.
“It's an open case, remain open at this time, waited a long time for the autopsy report to come, unfortunately it is still an undetermined reasonable cause of death,” Sue Hayes said.
With nothing new to report about how he died or even why Matthew Dobbs was missing for over a month before his body was found, the family is stepping up their efforts to find out any information that would break the case.
Matthew's older sister Laci now has an offer for anyone who might know something.
“When the arrest and conviction is complete the person will be given a ten thousand dollar reward were going to post it for six months, we're going to do six month intervals,” Laci said.
Meanwhile, Pikeville police continue their investigation.
“If any one has any information or knows anything about the case of the young man, who disappeared the third of January, that they would call the Pikeville Police Department>
The Dobbs family holds out hope, the reward will pay off.
The Dobbs family hopes to have the TV show America's Most Wanted profile the case.
