Not Guilty Plea In Shooting

The man who police say shot at an Irvine police officer, before causing a standoff, says he's not guilty.

Junice Mays made that plea Tuesday in an Estill County courtroom.

A judge then set his bond at three million dollars.

Police say Mays fired shots at officer Eddie Asher Friday Night, then refused to come out of an apartment for hours.

Asher suffered minor injuries.

Mays is scheduled for a mental health evaluation, he'll be back in court next Wednesday.

There is a lot in questions here,in the fiftys and sixtys we sent our boys off to war turned them into killing machines and when the war was over sent them back home to fend for themselfs. today in this time and era we have download time or a debriefing to help them to cope with the reality of the war being over. Our boys fight for our freedom and I am proud to stand by them in all things.I have not been there and lest I can not say what they have been through. But , I can say that all our boys should have and get the help they need to carry on their lives here at home. And not be forgotten no matter what war they fought.I could go on and say more, but I will say this. God help us all.

i think this is crazy evey time they are a killing or just a shooting the court system recommends a mental health evaluation damn anyone can act crazy and past the test thats just to get them out of trouble make him pay and try to stop the crimes instead of letting them go so they can do it again thats just telling them that its ok to kill or just shoot someone the system is supose to stop crime instead of inforcing it
