With a starting salary averaging 30 to 50 thousand dollars a year, many people want to work for Halliburton.

He says the situation is “Pretty exciting, starting pay is very competitive and insurance and everything so it sounds pretty good for this part of the country.”
Halliburton officials decided to set up in Eastern Kentucky last week, but say coming here was a no-brainer.
The Texas based company will work to improve natural gas wells for drillers.
They haven't chosen where specifically they will locate, but say it will be somewhere between Pikeville and Paintsville.
Halliburton managers aren't wasting any time.
They plan to start work in August.
