Drugs, Roosters & Hidden Girl Found In Whitley County Car Search

A disturbing discovery for police in southern Kentucky investigating a suspicious looking car.

Officers say they confiscated drugs and fighting roosters after searching the car outside a Williamsburg gas station.

Williamsburg Police found 11 roosters and something even more shocking, a 10 year-old girl.

Police say she was dirty and cold and hungry.

Social services took the girl into custody, and the 11 birds were taken to the Knox-Whitley County animal Shelter.

I think that the web site needs to make sure they tell all the story and not just part of the story when they put it on here. It seems that the little girl was in a vehicle that her grandfather was in, doesn't excuse the conditions the child was suffering makes them worse actually but the story above leads you to beleive it was and abandoned car they found her in, it wasn't.

How awful for the poor child!!! I am curious about a couple things, one, to whom does this abused child belong, secondly, what will the punishment for such an act be? There will be formal charges, right?

I think this is a shame, The little girls parents alone with the ones who had her hid with the roosters should be put in jail in a dark cell with as many chickens as could be put in the cell with them and have to spend about ten years together and it mite make a difference in the way they looked after another kid if the state would be dumb enough to allow them to be around anymore kids ,Its about time the crimes that gets commented gets the wright time for it.

They should string up whoever is responsible for putting this child in that situation. What's the world coming to? The parents - if they're responsible - should be taken out and horse-whipped!
